Remembering Henry (Benninghof Popcorn) 31.5.97-18.8.13

Saying goodbye to our Schnauzers is the hardest part. Share your memories here as we bid farewell to our beloved friends. They've crossed the bridge and returned to the meadow in full health and free of injuries. Running free. We won't forget.

Remembering Henry (Benninghof Popcorn) 31.5.97-18.8.13

Post by milosark2 »

It was a year ago tomorrow that my Mum lost her dear old boy Henry. He was 16 and a half when he passed away, which was a fabulous age to achieve. He had a wonderful, active and happy life, which he was able to enjoy right up to the day before he died. For this my Mum is always very grateful. "He is your friend, your partner, your defender" he was all of these to my her and I know how much he is still missed x

Milo, I'm sure, still misses his dear old 'stair snoozing buddy' :) but was lucky enough to have shared many wonderful adventures and holidays with him whilst growing up. Darcey just LOVED :x Henry, sometimes a little bit too much . . . trying to escape her affections once, caused him to fall in a swimming pool :-o

This photo was on taken on Climping Beach, West Sussex, a week before he sadly left us.

We had the most wonderful, perfect time and we will always treasure that special day that we got to share together . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqlhBI3ES1s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He looks very well and handsome in that picture, what a brilliant age and touching tribute.
Always very hard the anniversaries of them leaving us :(

So glad I had the chance to meet dear old Henry. He seemed so wise and laid back. Glad also that you captured many special moments on your camera - always good to remember the happy days :x
