Camping in the South Pennines- a recommendation with photos

Post by LouiseH »

Kili and I have just got back from a few days hiking and camping at Jerusalem Farm, near Halifax. Gorgeous dog friendly campsite- tents only, no cars on the site itself and set in open access woodland with footpaths off in all directions. We camped right next to the stream so Kili could paddle on his long lead.

Waiting to leave- two buses, two trains each way!

The site was empty when we arrived- that's our tent down there

Some great dog friendly footpaths

The stream was wonderful- it was too hot to go anywhere during the afternoon so Kili paddled and slept in the shade and I read my book and did a bit of writing until it had cooled down enough for an evening explore. I've never seen him lie down in water before!
