Re: Night time wee

It's tricky isn't it? Oscar is nearly 3 but I know if he doesn't need to go out last thing at night, he can usually hold on until the morning. Where as Sasha, who is just 1, I know that if she doesn't go out before bedtime, I will get a 3am alarm call with her scratching the bedroom door needing to ...

Re: Behavior differences between standard and giant schnauzers

Hi Pascale, Are you sure about that on the standards? I saw a standard once which was pure black and the owner, who I believe was a breeder of them, confidently told me that her dog had Russian lineage......that is the only black standard I have ever seen and it was an absolutely beautiful specimen....

Re: Sulking?

Thanks Leigh and Sam - Oscar did get 1-2-1 time in the Spring/Summer when I took him to agility training (which he loves) but I think I will do the separate walks for Oscar and Sasha now and again, maybe just once a month and my wife and I will alternate who we take. They do both get on but I suspec...

Sulking?

Hoping for some advice from owners who have at least a couple of mini Schnauzers. Maybe I'm being over-sensitive or paranoid......but, it feels like Oscar has been sulking the last couple of days. We (better half and myself) are always careful to ensure we share the love/affection/play (and generall...

Re: Toys....

There are a load more toys that have been 'retired' to the under-stairs cupboard, to be brought out at a later date :D

Re: A thread for Rosie and Edie

I have some lovely 'woodland' walks near me that are beautiful to walk around (especially this time of the year when the leaves start turning a golden orange) but to sound like a stuck record again :D your 'beach' pictures are stunning and I'm very jealous!

Re: Toys....

I have seen that so often, usually Sasha "setting up the chase" by taking one of Oscars favourite toys :D

Re: Toys....

Julie you are not the first person who has told me they tidy their dogs toys away, I have been to the houses of friends and you would not even know they have a dog, as the toys are all tidied away nicely. I do try and keep them in a tidy pile but I guess they do look messy :( Anyway, pooches all bac...

Toys....

Oscar and Sasha's toys are here waiting to be played with, whilst they are at the groomers.

I don't know about anyone else but the house feels so empty when they are not in it :(

Re: Schuey heart murmur collapsing and liver problem

Hey Vicky, I have been reading your posts and I'm sending you and Schuey positive thoughts, from myself, Oscar and Sasha. I really hope the low-fat home cooking helps him along and on the road to recovery.

Re: Changes to Pet Passport post Britexit

If this is true, this isn't great news for me either as we take our two over to Austria, which we love doing. Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are loads of great places in the UK to holiday with your dog but cutting off mainland Europe for pet holidays isn't great :(

Re: Ever tried cutting a pizzle ?

:) I have never tried my two with a pizzle - they tend to get a split antler each although why I buy two is beyond me! I bought them one each yesterday afternoon as a present, dutifully made them sit whilst I handed them one each. Typically Sasha only ever wanted the one Oscar had. If he was chewing...

Re: Dog Attack

Hi Sid Sorry to hear about this. I know it's not much help but are there any secure dog walking areas you can take Barney to, so at least you can feel relatively relaxed that he can get a good walk off lead. There are some near us that are just fenced off fields with gates (where there is a risk ano...
