Re: Food for puppy

Hi Michelle, welcome to the forum and very exciting for you. Natural Instinct has a very good rating and I would be delighted if a breeder had brought up a pup on that so I wouldn't be changing from that without a good reason. Take a look at the allaboutdogfood website for more info, the link for Na...

Re: Puppy first nights

Me too with Oscar, I ignored the advice about leaving them if they cry. On the first night Oscar cried 3 times and I went down to him each time, cuddled him until he went off again and gently popped him back into his pen. He only did that for 2 nights and then slept straight through and never fouled...

Re: Puppy first nights

Hi Steven, Welcome to the forum and how exciting for you. I kept Otto's pen in the place where it was going to be permanently so it was put in the kitchen/diner. I left the kitchen door open and had a baby monitor so I could hear any cries etc. (Really recommend a baby monitor with camera, fascinati...

We can't have that until I have properly learnt how to pronounce it. :)

Re: Puppy is aggressive biting

Hi Sam, one step forward a couple steps backward is the way isn't it.... With the distraction I would attempt to make something very very attractive and exciting that she can only have every now and again when you want her to and then it is put away, a toy that she has never seen before that you don...

Re: Undigested lentils

Thanks Leigh, he has only just transitioned so poop is softer than normal. Hopefully in another week his system will have got used to it. I have written to the Company also to see whether it is a common problem.

Undigested lentils

I have very recently changed Otto's food. This one has lentils in it as part of the veggie content. In most of his poops the lentils come out as they went in which means he is not digesting them at all. It is early days with this new food but should I be concerned?

David so pleased that you and Chewy have bonded so well and yes I used to wiggle Otto's tooth with my finger whenever I could.

Re: One of the K9 baby teeth is not coming out

David how lovely to hear from you again. I often think about how the two of you are getting on. Otto had a retained tooth until he was 6 months old. I set about trying to loosen it and remove it by playing tug and it didn't take long to go. If the adult tooth is in the right place i.e. not being pus...

Andy, so sorry to hear that. I have heard that a raw diet is good for pancreatitis. Hopefully someone on here can help. How old is Oakley?

Re: Edie's grooming journey begins

A big part of the problem is that not a lot of people want or have time to groom their own schnauzer and with today's groomers there isn't much choice because they don't offer stripping and it is a dying art/craft. Having said that I would much rather see a tidy clipped dog than a matted dog.

Re: Otto's beard

Thanks all, yes quite happy with this little bug catcher's beard. My Oscar's was like Gino's, it would have just kept growing.
