Re: Random bursts of energy + poop eating = terrible combo

Hi Andrew and welcome to the forum. Check out feeding pineapple to her. I am sure that it is one idea that you can try and people have had good results. Otto wasn't eating his own poop and the action I took when he went to eat another dog's was to shout NO just as he was about to eat it but I wouldn...

Re: Barking

Hazel It does sound like you need the expertise of a behaviouralist to help you put a plan together because this is not simple at all to stop. At the moment, she is fearful of people (and dogs) and barking is her defence mechanism. Her experience is that if she barks she gets rewarded by dogs and pe...

Re: Mabyn

Hi Jason, how very very sad that you were robbed of so many years. Hard enough to lose one after a long healthy life but must be terribly hard to lose one so young. What a lovely photo. Looking forward to one day seeing a photo of your new schnauzer...

Re: Collars

Here are some prong and hold collars that can be engraved. They tend to be leather. If you search personalised prong and hole dog collar you will probably find more. https://www.farrar-tanner.co.uk/the-great-outdoors-c71/top-doggy-c96/fetch-follow-navy-leather-collar-small-p1477 https://www.dog-muzz...

Re: Toys....

Fantastic, all Otto's toys are kept tucked away in an ottoman (very apt!). OH says only 3 toys out at a time, he jumps into the ottoman, I point at all of them and he selects the ones he wants and then the top gets shut... how mean is that :D His toys are having a turn around in the washer this morn...

Re: Schuey heart murmur collapsing and liver problem

Vicky, if it wasn't for the collapsing you would have had no idea about those other things so try not to worry about them all. Thinking of you both.

Re: Dog Attack

Sid, what an awful experience for you both. You can get over this. The behaviouralist is the best advice because they would put a plan/programme together with you and be on hand to help you both through this. The advice will be to build confidence again around the fear which is the other dog approac...

Re: For sale to good home - floor cleaner...

Oh dear Mike, your morning walk sounds like my yesterday afternoon one. I came back declaring that was it and it was either neutering or the implant for Otto. Things didn't seem quite so bad this morning when I got up and with renewed efforts on training we had a very nice calm walk. I will look for...

For sale to good home - floor cleaner...

In good working order, 14 months old, black and silver, guaranteed to lick the kitchen floor all over between 8.30am and 9am every day thereby removing all crumbs, novelty schnauzer shaped. To good home only. :D

Does anyone else get "help" with the domestics?
