Beautiful photo! Edie looks as though she loves the camera too - such a happy expression :-)
Thanks Leigh. Edie was in her element as the easter bunnies had left lots of tidbits for her :))

Re: A thread for Rosie and Edie

What a lovely picture Sam. I have always wondered if Edie was P&S as she seems much darker than Rosie but I can see in your Bio that they are both P&S - I guess like us all, some are darker or lighter than others :) Thanks Mike. Edie's mum has had two litters to the same sire. The first litter were...

Re: A thread for Rosie and Edie

After a busy Easter weekend, I had the morning out with Rosie and Edie walking round the southern cliffs of Guernsey for a couple of hours, ending up at Saint's Bay. They're now fast asleep recovering :))

Re: Taking The Plunge

Good luck with the trim. Being white, Monty won't suffer from the fading that happens with the other colours. I think this is the best video for how to clip a mini schnauzer. Well worth a watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cNVGLkIvwI

Re: Seaside

Nice pics Mike. It looks like they enjoyed themselves. I was never one for the beach but I must confess that I love to see the girls run free on the sand. It always brings a smile to my face and I'm sure seeing Oscar and Sasha run around does the same for you.

Re: Edie's grooming journey begins

I think spring has brought the growing season to Edie's undercoat with it. This is just 10 minutes of carding that was last done 4 days ago!

Re: Are females so different from males ?

I only have experience of owning females Alison. Two were spayed (Molly at 5 months and Rosie at 9/10 months) and Edie who is intact. I really can't say that I saw any difference in their behaviour that I could identify as a change due to the spay with one exception. That is having Rosie neutered (n...

Re: Rosie and Edie go on RAW

I've taken Rosie down to 2% a day and she's still hiding her waistline :) Next step is 1.75% ! She was spayed though and perhaps has a lower metabolic rate as a consequence. Edie, I think, has finished growing and is currently on 2.5% - she's going to be moved down to 2.25% and see how that goes as ...

Re: Suprelorin - Otto's experience

Hi Julie, While I have no experience of owning a dog, always having chosen to have bitches, this is a very difficult choice we all face with our schnauzers. Rosie, you may remember, developed Pyometra immediately after her first season and the timing was taken out of our hands. I say timing, as we'd...

Re: A thread for Rosie and Edie

Another week of work over and another chance to get out for a long walk round the coast. There's a path that leads from our town, St Peter Port, round the eastern coast to Fermain Bay where I'd hoped to stop and enjoy a glass of cider before continuing but the unseasonal warm temperatures and sun me...

Re: Poor Daisy - feel horrible

Hi Gary, a happier dog is a happier house though I do accept that sometimes schnauzers test that a little with their love of barking :)
