Re: Barking/behaviouralist recommendations Wirral

Hi Tj, I can't remember who or if you have Harry insured. If it's with Petplan then they will pay for an animal behaviourist provided you are referred by your vet AND they are suitable qualified. You can, of course, self refer. They will work with you and only use "hands off" techniques. The main fo...

Re: Your dirty dog photos

Unbelievably, I have no dirty dog photo's. Rosie and Edie will get muddy paws or noses but never close to Jasper's achievement. What a result :))

Re: Fun in the mud at Pudsey

What a lovely set of photo's.

I never mind the dogs getting muddy; as long as they've enjoyed themselves and haven't been digging in my flowerbeds :)

Re: Albert Claude & Cerise

Hi Janetta, I hope you don't mind but for anyone who is interested in this; here's a little more about the breeder and more background on Albert-Claude. The bit that I don't understand about this particular breeder is that he shows Beagles and registers them with the KC yet they won't get involved w...

Re: Jasper's puppy days

The only problem Alison is when you need to press Control or Alt and a key and your hand doesn't have a big enough span :) Don't you find yourself wanting to nod off with him?

Re: new member, and Watson

In Guernsey you wouldn't expect car sickness to be an issue given that the island is only 25 square miles but we have struggled with Edie and motion sickness. Anything over 10 minutes and she would be certain to be sick. We tried lots of things, ginger biscuits, open windows, waiting for a few hours...

Re: Sasha the Star!

Thanks very much everyone for your kind words and Sam, one of my friends called Sasha's look, the "Death Stare" - it does look pretty scary but she is a dear little poppet. A bit more nervous and not as naturally loving as Oscar but she is our little star :) and we love her to bits. I know exactly ...

Nothing to add to the excellent advice above - I just wanted to say how cute Monty looks in the photo's :)

Re: A thread for Rosie and Edie

When out on our walk, Edie thought she'd keep Rosie in the water and would "protect" the higher, dry sand. Rosie decided she wasn't having any of that :)

Re: new member, and Watson

Hi Greg, he'll love you being at home with him most of the day and you'll find out that schnauzers love to be involved in everything and will be your constant companion, even in the loo :)

Looking forward to seeing him grow.

Re: Jasper's puppy days

Glad to hear that everything went relatively well for you and that Jasper the angel turned up on the day to honour his joint owner and how, through him, you'll always have the memories of your mum and Barney.

Well done Sasha (and Mike). No need to apologise for what you call self-indulgence. Pleased to read about her success, even though she doesn't look at all happy about it :)

Thanks for the update. It'll be interesting to hear how he progresses when the implant wears off.

Re: Suprelorin - Otto's experience

How are things now with Otto, Julie?

I met a man over the weekend who has a JRT. He told me his dog had just had an implant and was surprised when I spoke about Suprelorin. This forum can certainly educate :)
