Re: Tails.com ingredients help

Looked on allboutdogfood and tails doesn't get great review (talk of loads of bowel movements and even change in personality! (hyperactivity etc) so not so sure I want to try it. I'm happy with the Pure stuff, and so is Kiki but I might try a few others gradually (she's not one to turn her nose up a...

Re: Tails.com ingredients help

Wow Sam I'm impressed, thank you! So would you say it seems good quality? At the moment I'm only doing wet (rehydrated) food but she wolfs it down in no time so was wondering whether to give some kibble for one of the meals (I've red it's not good to mix them because they are digested at different r...

Tails.com ingredients help

Hello, I wonder if anyone could help me with the ingredients in this free trial I got. It's a kibble, wheat free but not sure what the other stuff is and I'm sure I've read that maize isn't great for them

Re: Please help - grey/mucus stools - emergency vet?

Thank you
I missed the bit about her weight and refusing meals - I get the impression Kiki would never refuse a meal - she wolfs it down in seconds! And she weighs a huge 4.4 kilos at 13 weeks!! I wonder if we bought a standard by mistake 🤣

Re: Please help - grey/mucus stools - emergency vet?

Thanks Leigh. I will order both those things. It's so frustrating, I just want to do everything right and I trusted that the pet shop staff (and dog owner apparently) would give me good advice! Surely that's just basic stuff about the 9m+ thing! I'll do more research next time and take everything th...

Re: Please help - grey/mucus stools - emergency vet?

Jo she's on 3 meals a day, which is what the breeder told us to give at 8am, 2.30 and 9pm. I have changed this to 7.30, 2 and 8.30 because she is up at 6 and she's conked out by 9.30. Will not get any more dental chew then. Having just looked up whimzee it does look identical to that (and thy had th...

Re: Please help - grey/mucus stools - emergency vet?

Oh no really Alison? I actually threw one batch away because it was overcooked!
I don't have any sweet potato but there's a greengrocer up the road, I can pop and get one later.

I know Sam, especially as I'm new to all this! I'll know not to panic next time!

Re: Please help - grey/mucus stools - emergency vet?

Thank you both. I checked her during the night and let her out (which I always do). She urinated both times and 4am 'this morning she emptied her bowels and it was harder and a better colour. There was one bit with some mucus but much better. I did end up calling the vet last night and explained to ...

Please help - grey/mucus stools - emergency vet?

Hi I'm slightly worried about 13 week old puppy. She has done 2 stools now (about 4 hrs apart) that have a grey colour. I had a closer look at the second one and halved it and it seems it's a normal but softer poo than usual, with a mucus like coating. Googling is worrying me but I don't know if it'...

Thank you, I'll pop over to pet shop later for an antler and will order the other stuff in. Thanks. Quite excited to give her something new to try! She does love her food!

Thanks Julie, I'll look them up. Do general pet stores do them or do you order them online?
Will try the antler too

Re: which food & treats for puppy

Hi all, Kiki's been with us for a month now and we love her to bits. Will write more on a different thread about how it's going, along with some pics! She came with a supply of Royal Canin which I gradually changed to Pure as recommended by Leigh. She loves it. In fact, it turns out she loves anythi...
