Re: LKA results

Thank you guys!
I still can't quite believe it! I've had a stomach bug and felt awful all day, [I actually thought I'd keel over in one point] but I'm glad we went.
Thank you for Joni for looking after us and putting up with the gas.. :D

Caroline, I don't know if you watched the videos but all the harnesses on them are different, ie they are testing the harnesses ;)

Re: Yes, I will be breeding non-standard dogs ...

Go on love! Knock yourself out! Who gives a monkeys ass about what you breed or don't breed. Just a little tip though before I go...with that attitude you're not going to get any decent replies or questions in this forum, so if I was you, I'd crawl back into my box, have a little think and start aga...

Re: Giant Schnauzer puppy in Birmingham

He's a lovely boy and having a ball chasing his tail :) All mine have chased their tails as pups, even the ones without a tail, but grew out of it. I would recommend that you'll get your boy used to baby noises, your other half carrying a bundle etc. before the baby arrives, specially if he's a mumm...

Re: FLASHING LIGHTS / COLLARS

I got mine from here http://www.dogtopia.co.uk/dogtopia_frames/fhome.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but it looks like they've almost been sold out. I noticed that it says 'short battery life', but mine have lasted 2 years and are only just now in a need of new batteries. They've ...

Re: GIANT SNACKS !!!!

My Lizzie catches and eats rabbits all the time and she's fine, but mine are on 100% raw anyway.
If it was a fresh one he should be just fine, the rotten ones can cause a bit of gas..
He might have a furry poo though :-o

ps. I think it's a suttle hint that he'd like some raw meat :D

Re: Growling

I had a Giant that hated his feet being touched - he grumbled when you did. He never grew out of it but he never went any further than a grumble and sometimes I used to grumble too when I went to touch his feet and we would grumble together. This seemed to placate him - almost as if I too was doing...

Re: Growling

Reading your post brought back so many memories, most not so good. Looking at his age, he's trying it on with you and showing dominant signs, like not wanting to be touched unless it's on his terms and only as long as he wants. Classic sign of dominance. Our problems with Archie started about the s...

Re: Dreaded Firework Season

Next door set off some tonight, but mine carried on snoozing part from Erik giving the odd growl which I think was more for the strange humans voices than fireworks, but that's it. :-bd

Re: Giant Schnauzer HD x-rays

IMO unless you have a reason to believe that he has HD or ED ei. he's showing clinical signs of either of those [which you say he doesn't] I wouldn't rush into getting his hips checked. If he starts showing signs, which he would have done by now with both if it was serious, then of course you'd have...
