Re: Pancreatitis

Our boy Jake now aged 11.5 yrs was first diagnosed with Pancreatitis when he was 6 yrs, the first flare up hospitalised him as it was so severe, since then he has had a number of smaller flare ups and one other more serious one last year. We try and feed him a low fat diet, have tried lots of differ...

Re: Harvest mites

Our dogs get harvest mites every year since moving to the countryside, the mites are in our garden so no escape from them. I use Frontline spray to get rid as nothing else seems to work, I've tried all sorts of things including Neem and Thornit powder. The weather this summer has been very hot and f...

Re: Dear Eddie

You are never forgotten Eddie, such a beautiful gentle boy, we loved you so much too. You and Jake were besties when you were pups and we formed a good friendship with your folks. I am so very sad to hear about George passing away, he was a good dog too and remember you guys playing in our garden on...

Re: Equafleece Tankie

Karen, that's wonderfully generous of you. Did you get them from a schnauzer rescue centre or a general rescue? Secretly would love a friend for Otto but not sure I could go through having a puppy again (although I said this with Oscar and clearly didn't mean it :-\ ) Two came from Diana Brimblecom...

Re: Equafleece Tankie

Karen, what a wonderful bunch you have there but how on earth do you cope with 4. :-o Four is a lot of dogs and certainly makes life interesting :) One we've had from a pup and the other three are rescues, all were looking for a loving forever home where they could just chill out and settle down. T...

Re: Insurance

We've used More Than in the past but found renewals were getting very expensive. We have three dogs with Petplan and one with NCI (company who took over pet insurance from AXA). We have had no problems with Petplan and our dogs are all covered on Lifetime policies, we have not found the renewals to ...

Re: 10 year anniversary

They all get on ok, tolerate each other, Cody on the left and Jenny (in the pink) are best pals, both are rescues and have given each other a lot of comfort and helped each other to settle in. None are related. Jake came to us as a pup at 8 weeks, Cody was a rescue but from a pet home, Jenny was a r...

10 year anniversary

Just realised I've been a forum member for 10 years :) I joined back in 2007 when my first boy Jake was a pup, through the forum I went on to make some very good friends. As a first time dog owner the forum has also given me lots of valuable dog advice over the years. I don't post much nowadays but ...
