Re: Albert Claude & Cerise

Hi Janetta, I hope you don't mind but for anyone who is interested in this; here's a little more about the breeder and more background on Albert-Claude. The bit that I don't understand about this particular breeder is that he shows Beagles and registers them with the KC yet they won't get involved ...

Re: Volunteering

While not schnauzer-specific the Cinnamon Trust is a great charity. https://cinnamon.org.uk/ "A network of 15,000 volunteers “hold hands” with owners to provide vital loving care for their pets. We keep them together – for example, we’ll walk a dog every day for a housebound owner, we’ll foster pets...

Albert Claude & Cerise

I'm not sure whether I'd introduced Cerise to the forum before I took a break, but in case not here she is along with her brother Albert Claude who I know I haven't introduced as he joined us in February this year. https://scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/72528165_3415890881762183_7588750442260...

Re: 4 Paws Vet Centre / Second Chance Rescue

An update on this awful case, the couple running the 'rescue' were charged and given suspended sentences and banned from keeping animals for 5 years. A lifetime ban and jail time would have been better justice for the animals who suffered at their hands. And I agree with Leigh, the same standards sh...

Re: The king is dead - long live the king!

So sorry to read about your boy's passing. It really is the most terrible time in the lives we share with our dogs. I've now lost 3 and each time it is awful, never gets easier whether they are elderly, or not, or how long we have shared our lives with them. We just learn to put the emotions into a ...

What a touching post and I love the registering him in your mum's name too and butterflies. Dogs are very special, in so many ways.

Re: Schnauzerfest 2019

We have had a brilliant Schnauzerfest 2019 :) With 72 walks, there were 1000s of paws out and about over the weekend with their humans. Some walks were under blue skies, some were wet - not a single host pulled out even though the weather was challenging in the lead up with one host having hers floo...

Re: Schnauzerfest 2019

We hope to be attending Schnauzerfest in Guernsey and hope for better weather than last year:) Briliant, host Tatiana will be pleased, think she was worried it might just be her! We said not :) Yes, remember her photos from last year's stormy one, at least it doesn't look like that will happen, and...

If you have not come across this book before it also may be of interest to you (I am guessing you are in the US?) It is a book re a puppy farm survivor in the UK but sure to have some useful insight. (If you are in the UK the book is readily available here too :-). ) https://www.amazon.com/Saving-S...

Re: Jasper's puppy days

I've just caught up with your news Alison. So sorry about Barney, how awful for you all.
But love reading about Jasper.
We now have a young boy, a mini - Albert Claude - who is masquerading as a giant. He is enormous, with long legs and I love your description "racing snake'!!

Re: Schnauzerfest 2019

We support Schnauzerfest; my two will be attending with me at Holmbury Hill, Surrey - we went last year and it was a great event. A very worthwhile cause too! Thanks, Holmbury was new last year and it was great, looks like a good crowd is heading there again this year. Think Ali has adjusted the ro...
