Unbelievably, I have no dirty dog photo's. Rosie and Edie will get muddy paws or noses but never close to Jasper's achievement. What a result :))
What :-o I think Jasper needs to show them how its done. He seems to be good at it, like most things that involve mischief =))

Your dirty dog photos

Jasper must have read about fun in the mud. I think he found a rat hole and decided to try and dig it out. I got him on the lead quick before he got chance to do zoomies around the house :)) :ymdevil: He's now cleaner but I wouldn't say spotless =)) https://i.postimg.cc/Fdj4sD0B/IMG-20191107-WA0013....

Re: Fun in the mud at Pudsey

Lovely photos. Its funny how many people comment that white dogs get dirty, as though Jasper is dirtier than their dark coloured dog. I tell them they don't get any dirtier than a black dog, you can just see it all before they bring it in the house =))

Re: Jasper's puppy days

Amazingly Jasper has made it to 6 months old without having to have major surgery, or poisoning himself with something he shouldn't have eaten =)) Here he is 4 mths ago when we picked him up https://i.postimg.cc/Jtp9nXPd/DSC-1796.jpg And here he is today with a bit of him in the same carrier, he's g...

Re: Monty's Only Bad Habit!

Start off with encouraging him just to grip at the toe area. I loosened mine to start with so there was something to grab and actually put a treat in the toe bit of my sock to encourage him to hold the right bit. When he pulls say "pull" at the time hes doing it. When he has the idea of pull set him...

Re: Jasper's puppy days

The only problem Alison is when you need to press Control or Alt and a key and your hand doesn't have a big enough span :) Don't you find yourself wanting to nod off with him? We've got that covered. I put a cushion as you can see in second photo in the gap of the chair arm so he doesn't need my ar...

Re: Monty's Only Bad Habit!

They can enter a second fear phase leading up to a year old. This might explain his clingy behaviour. Jasper was always gripping at my socks, so I turned it into a trick. He'll now pull my socks off like an assistance dog. Hes so happy with himself when hes done it and brings the sock for me to put ...

Re: Jasper's puppy days

Its a great responsibility being the office morale dog. The weather has turned a bit cooler but not cold enough for heating to be on so I'm training Jasper to be my personal hot water bottle. Hes taking his job very seriously, I think training is going well :-bd =)) :ymhug: https://i.postimg.cc/MnNw...

There must be something in the water over there in Guernsey, that or you are feeding him some 'Jack and the Beanstalk' type food :D
=)) Maybe it's the prune stones, tissues, pegs, silver paper, after eight mints and all the other stuff he's eaten and shouldn't have =)) :ymdevil:

Re: new member, and Watson

Do either of them cry when the car is stationary ?
Just thinking of doing something like crate training to desensitise to being in the car while at home and taking it on the road so to speak

Everybody it seems comments on how long Jaspers legs are. Recently its changed to "Hes a lot taller than a schnauzer I know" Hes a wriggle bottom and wont stand still so Ive tried to measure him against something. Yes hes ending up a maxi mini like Barney was. I cant believe it, he was sooooo tiny a...

Re: new member, and Watson

Most definitely go to as many places as possible. I had a puppy carrier for first couple of weeks then used a backpack to carry Jasper around. Schnauzers can be very reactive/ barky with things they're not sure of. Some places I took Jasper Car boot sales Sitting at busy road junctions Asking if we ...

We still think about Barney everyday, at the start its the pain of loss, but it does start changing to the happy memories you'll always have.
