Re: Fear of beeping microwave

Me again...I've been thinking about your dog...for me fear issues and phobias are something I've encountered with my first ST poodle..she hated storms, thunder would start her shaking,in the mall a slam of a metal safety door would have her stopped in her tracks and wanting to exit the building...all...

Re: Fencing - how high

KAzzi...there are many lovely climbers..for the first few years we had climbing roses..but we wanted an evergreen screen so moved on to jasmine and variegated ivy..in winter, which for two months can be very cold here ,we cover with muslin or plastic (in the early years whilst the plant establishes)....

Re: Fencing - how high

Thanks Julie..it does smell wonderful and a bonus is its evergreen..I don't think the Spanish plant would take the freezing winters here..the mountains you see are the alps and we live in the valley at the foot of them..I will look up that plant though,it sounds lovely. Re stans ears..the grey / sil...

Re: Introducing Lottie - need lots of advice!

Welcome on board.. Lottie sounds like she's a really good pup ,many will take much longer to get where you are now..she may fall back sometimes with her sterling house training, but continue to feed around the same time, let her out after a game or a meal and she should be a fast learner. I'd definite...

Re: Fencing - how high

Re: What may be causing this behaviour?

Thanks both very helpful, I am continuing to let him off but if a dog lies down and he starts to want to climb over it I grab him back before it escalates with a loud NO. Worked this morning when a cockerpoo laid down. He didn't try again. Apart from this his behaviour has much improved and I am be...

Re: What may be causing this behaviour?

As I recall you said this pup was a middle of the road fellow...less dominant than your last boy... If so, I would ( for now)let him continue off lead...but when he escalates into this behavior, you step in,say OFF, and redirect him away to play on with the other dogs...swipe him off the dog.and redi...

Re: Feeding Pancreas on the raw food diet

Janet..those suggestions re wt ratio and amount to feed pancreatic enzymes are probably for larger breeds such as German shepherd dogs, more commonly affected by pancreatic insufficiency disease. I'm not a raw feeder, but would not be giving supplemental enzyme source if your dog is not affected by P....
