Linda, insurance is definitely a separate thing.

Hope it all goes well, sounds like we'll be getting them round about the same time!

No worries Menna - I have posted regarding the age of a puppy leaving the breeder on a separate topic under Puppy Care. Feel free to comment or ask questions there.

I am not sure how to move posts to a different section so will leave these for fear of losing them! :-)

As an ex breeder Leigh, do you think leaving the mother at 8 weeks is OK or should I push for her to stay longer?
I am not Leigh but I would definitely take possession of the pup at 8 weeks.

Between 8 - 12 weeks, the pup develops very quickly. A 12 week old pup is far more difficult to train. We bought Eny RS/PF home at 12 weeks as the purchaser declined to take her.

Between 8-12 weeks with any pup is a long time for the pup to develop. A 12 week old pup is not so ameniable as an 8 week old pup - believe me, especially Scnauchers
