Hello,
My husband and I are first time dog owner, I am very excited to be a part of this forum where I believe I will gain a wealth of information! Our family adopted a salt and pepper mini schnauzer, his name is Captain, and he is 2 days shy of 4 months old. We love him, and are working hard to train him to grow up to be a fine little boy, but we are learning quickly that schnauzers can be stubborn because they are so smart!! :) We are currently working on his interaction with strangers. And his love with nipping. We know with patience and consistency he will make great progress. I look forward to seeing everyone around the forum!

Hi Jenny
Welcome to the forum so glad that you found it. You won't regret having a mini Schnauzer in your life as they are super little dogs, they give you so much. Look forward to seeing more photos of Captain & hearing what he gets up too.

I have Gino who will be 20mths old tomorrow we needed another in our life after losing our girl in April 2017 he has eased the pain.

Hi and Welcome :-h
Barney was our first dog too, wouldn't swap him for anything.
The baby crocodile stage is challenging. Our 10 year old at the time was terrified of this little white ball of fluff and would only stroke him when he was asleep on someones knee to start with =))

Welcome Jenny to you and Captain.

He looks like a pup with attitude :) They usually make the best companions. Absolutely adorable looking and looking forward to seeing him develop.

Hello from a newbie aswell!

Captain looks gorgeous, similar to our 9mth old Rupert, sounds like he has some similar traits aswell, especially the mouthing!

Wore off around 6mths with Rupert, and starting to resolve other socialising ssues after some fab one-2one training. You'll get there, its worth it!
