Lovely recipes, thank you.
Just a word of warning to everyone though, I've made liver treats for Jessie before and she loved them, the only problem is that they absolutely stink the house out while they're baking (or maybe that's just my cooking!).

Re: Homemade Biscuit Recipes for your dog!
I'm a bit late to this thread, but I was so excited last night as I cooked up my first batch of doggie treats!
I forgot about this thread & the great recipies - doh! so improvised with some grated carrot, porridge oats, flour, blob of Clover and teeny bits of salmon trimmings for extra smellyness and my two love them.
In a very unscientific taste test this morning (it was like the Pepsi challenge with fur), Annie the Lab managed to scoff both the home made and shop bought treats in one go.
Mamma's boy Little Bear delightfully turned his nose up at the shop bought treat in favour of the home cooked one. That'a boy! Course he snuck back and hoovered up the other one once my back was turned but bless him for the loyalty! LOL
I'm now harbouring fantasies about packing it all in and launching a line of dog treats....dream on!

Re: Homemade Biscuit Recipes for your dog!
We're making the liver biscuits, anyone want to suggest a shelf-life for them, OH doesn't think they'll last more than a few days and that we should keep them in the fridge, I'm not sure though, comments anyone who does them?
He has a mahoosive pile of liver he's preparing, we might be donating biscuits in the park!

I put baked goods in the clip-shut tupperware boxes with four clips on each side. They last about a week in there.

Re: Homemade Biscuit Recipes for your dog!
Was looking at this thread with interest until I realised that they all contain egg - me & the kids are allergic - does anyone know a recipe for doggy treats without egg or dairy (annoyingly we're dairy allergic as well!)?

Re: Homemade Biscuit Recipes for your dog!
Thanks, we've decided to freeze & take out as required. Have to say it smelled good whilst cooking, am tempted to try it myself. JenT, OH (a chef) suggests using water to bind as that's what the eggs are doing, he reckons it should work with the liver ok.
