Just a little question about how protected things are on here .....
Someone recently let me know that if you google schnauzer and penguin rather a lot of my pics pop up!!!! Now I may have been naive in thinking my pics would only be seen on this site????!
Is there a way of protecting images to stop them appearing in a search engine? I understand non members can view info on here by the amount of guests there are but I still presumed that info would be sought here?
I mean I know I post a lot of pics..... !!!!!

Re: Google images
The long arm of Google.
There is no way to stop Google from collecting and indexing information and photographs on the site, other than not posting information at all. That information includes all posts, comments and pictures and Google sees it in the same way that a guest would. It is not only Google, you will find the same with Bing, Yahoo and all the other search engines. It is one of the reasons why we always advise (and remove) people's email addresses and phone numbers when they put them in posts.
This is the nature of a public forum and probably how a lot of us found the forum in the first place. Through a search engine.
I can look at watermarking the photo's, so that someone cannot use them, but it has never proven to be effective.
And keep posting those pictures please.

I offer my advice freely, but I am not an expert, breeder, groomer or behaviourist. It is simply my experience of raising pups in a way that seems to make sense.

Re: Google images
ok no worries... I won't pretend to understand!!!!
There seems to be ways to protect pics on photobucket going forward... and I might see how to watermark my pics... not that I think that much of myself but just I wouldn't want anyone to use them ....
I will keep posting... puppy pics Saturday!!!!
