Starting to hand strip a puppy

Grooming is an important part of looking after your Schnauzer. Regular grooming will help keep your Schnauzer healthy and comfortable and you will spot potential problems early. Whether you decide to clip or strip your Schnauzer, help is on hand. Schnauzers are generally a non-shedding breed and will require a fair amount of grooming to get rid of dead hair.

A few years ago I stripped a small patch bald on Barneys leg as I was intrigued by the fact fox terriers have their legs stripped so they are wire, it grew back wire. I dont card through the furnishings but I always use a wire comb not a brush and a lot of hair does come out especially with all the debris Jasper seems to collect.

Thanks Alison! I do remember reading about Jasper's wire leg patch. Did it go back to soft after scisorring for a while?
