Goodnight shanny

Saying goodbye to our Schnauzers is the hardest part. Share your memories here as we bid farewell to our beloved friends. They've crossed the bridge and returned to the meadow in full health and free of injuries. Running free. We won't forget.

Goodnight shanny

Post by dannie_kl »

Just wanted to say a little piece here for my friends GSP Shan who was PTS today. Tuesday she started vomiting and my friend starved her for 24 hours, wednesday lunch time she'd gone completely cold on her legs and her lips were cold too so she was rushed straight to the vets. Vet opened her up and found a blockage, some netting or something and still they dont know where she got it from but she had an intersection (sp) of her bowel and so they had to remove part of it, it was touch and go if she'd make it through the night. against all odds shan held on through wednesday, thursday and friday night but took a turn for the worse this morning and had to be let go. so very sad that today is the 2 year anniversary of Shan's brother being PTS.....Chile jumped a fence in a country park but got his feet caught and broke his back so 2 years to the day my friends lost their beloved chile, they've now lost his sister Shan, Lots of tears this evening but i hope gorgeous girl you are back snuggling up with your Bro! god bless Shanny, queen of the xmas sausage eating race.xxx

i know.......both of them went way before their time, Chile was only 8 when he was PTS and Shanny was 10 but shanny was fit as a fiddle, moved so beautifully, like a spring chicken and as i say was queen of the suasage race, no one could beat her every year at the christmas party :'(
