My beautiful boy passed over the bridge this afternoon. He was at home with the 2 people who loved him most, his Mamma and Shaun my eldest son. Yesterday other members of the family said their goodbyes. He was given a sedative to relax him and he settled on the sofa in his Mammas arms. It was quick and very calm. The girls were then allowed in, a Fizz took no notice at all but Bo decided she was going to stand watch and once he was moved to the kitchen both the girls are sleeping around his body while we waited for the crematorium to collect him. We took all the dogs for a lovely last walk for him which he really enjoyed mooching the the leaves etc and to see him you would struggle to see that there was anything wrong with him. I will post a photo later when I can get my head around things. I definitely think that I made the right choice to do it sooner rather than later.
God bless you beautiful boy, you will be missed by all that loved you but you fought a very tough fight for a long time and in the end we had to give in. Such a huge hole will be left in my heart, I will miss you every day, love you always, your Mamma xxxxxxx

Worthy put up a brave fight and so did you. It is terribly sad to have to say goodbye to a dearly loved companion, but it really was in his best interests. He is sleeping peacefully now. No more pain.

You did everything you could for him this past few months to make him happy and comfortable and you've done the right thing again. You should be proud of yourself :ymhug:

So sorry for you at this really sad time. Cherish all your memories of Worthington. He is in a good place with no suffering now. Hope you find some comfort by sharing this with all of us. This is such a painful time but you were brave for him so he went knowing you all loved him.
