Mabyn

The Miniature Schnauzer is a smallest dog in the Schnauzer breed and originated in the mid-to-late 19th Century from Germany. The Miniature Schnauzer is a cross between the Standard Schnauzer and other smaller breeds such as the Poodle. A miniature Schnauzer is a spunky, but aloof dog who does things their own way. They tend to be good guard dogs without the tendency to bite.

Hi everyone.
Only just found this forum. Unfortunately I lost my little girl in April '17. She was only 3. Liver problems that were diagnosed too late for her.
She was a great little dog though. Loved a walk on the beach so she had a great life

I will have another. I've been looking at perhaps rehoming one but they are so loved you never see them which is obviously good news. Will see

Welcome to the Forum :-)

So sorry to hear of the loss of your little one. It is heartbreaking when a dog passes and even more so when they so young.

There are contact numbers here for the breed rescue if you are interested in rehoming a mini schnauzer.

Do also have a browse through the puppy and breeding sections on the Forum for more information on finding a quality breeder and health advice. It is also a good idea to join one or more of the breed clubs if you are a lover of the breed as you will have the opportunity to meet other schnauzer owners and breeders and enjoy meeting up at breed shows, fun days etc.

Hi Jason, how very very sad that you were robbed of so many years. Hard enough to lose one after a long healthy life but must be terribly hard to lose one so young. What a lovely photo. Looking forward to one day seeing a photo of your new schnauzer...

Hi Jason welcome to the forum so sorry that you lost your girl in April 2017 gosh she was so young to have been taken. Must of been heartbreaking for you. I also lost my girl Suzi in April 2017 she was nearly 13 yrs. left us so devastated.....I needed another to ease the pain which my boy Gino has. Still feel guilty at getting him but it wasn't to replace my precious girl but just to get me up & out again. Have to say it's the best thing I did as they are super little dogs. Gino is so loving so feel he was meant to be, will always miss my girl. Do get another soon as life is too short.
