Its a bit wet here the lanes have streams down the sides. Jasper decided he'd had enough of paddling so decided to jump up on the earth banks at the edge of the roads to walk on those =))
Image

Nope theres still water down there I'm not coming down :))
Image

I get him to jump up on the banks if a car is passing, they're single track roads so it can be tight. I guess he decided it was a good place to walk :D

I quite often put Jasper on this wall to groom him with it being waist height. He quite often has a drink out of the bird bath. Today his bowl had got tipped over so he did a standing start jump straight up onto the wall :-o Its a 6 foot straight drop the other side and it's not very wide good job he got it right.

Nice Jasper, good jump! He's so cute and he likes to be groomed 😙

My boy Ozzy does some pretty crazy things too that give me a scare sometimes. Little acrobats 😈

This little fella makes me smile everyday he's such a character.

This morning I gave him a large knuckle bone to chew on. I put it outside on the patio, he always has them outside, but it's raining on and off today and he wasn't too keen on going outside. I was going to be working in the room looking out on the patio but I'd forgotten my drink. I went to the kitchen, came back and Jasper had brought his bone inside. Now normally I'd just pick it up and take it back out but he'd actually put it on the towel for wiping his feet that was on the floor. He was looking at me as if to say "is this ok or is it going outside ?"

I smiled at him and told him he was a good boy to see what happened. I wasn't sure if it was total coincidence he'd put it there or not. So I decided if it came off the towel I was going to put it outside, it could stay in if he kept it on the towel. He kept it on there but the sun came out so he took it outside, he decided it was still too wet and brought it back in, put it straight back on the towel to chew =))

He does use his brains sometimes even if it is to test boundaries =))

They most definitely do. My son has a part time job and on Tuesdays finishes anytime between 8pm and 8.45pm so he texts me when he wants picking up. Jasper has picked up on the fact when my phone goes that I'll be going in the car and he likes going for rides in the car =)) so he can be fast asleep, hears my phone and thats it hes on high alert until I go out :D He doesnt do it at any other time.

Dont know if you look at stuff on Instagram if so check out whataboutbunny. Shes a sheepadoodle and has been taught to foot target voice buttons to speak. It is amazing some of the thought processes she tries to communicate. Its all part of hunger4words

Beautiful day here so we went to the beach for our walk this morning. Jasper isnt really a water dog. I've made sure I know he knows how to swim just incase he ever falls in out of his depth so he doesnt panic, but given a choice hes happy paddling not swimming.
I'm having a paddle tempting him in
Image
This is about as deep as he goes which is pretty deep for a schnauzer :D
Image
Then he decided to have a dig while I put my shoes back on so he had to go back in for another paddle =))

Back at the car doing a bit of watch the world go by

That looks great fun. I do miss being near a beach now we live out in the country especially on hot days! No way would any of our mini schnauzer girls venture into the sea - though they do love a run on the sands.

Looks like so much fun. We took Monty to the beach last week and he was scared of the sea. He's always hated water. So good to see Jasper take it all in his stride and enjoy himself!

No oceans near me, but my parents live in a small private lake. The furthest I got Ozzy to go in was up to his toes lol. He's fine on the dock. He didn't even really see the fish or frogs. All the schnauzers in my family has had don't like to get in water, but Ozzy is the 1st to be hand stripped so I was curious if it made a difference. I notice her doesn't mind the rain as much....,

Looks like so much fun, good for Jasper!

Both of mine love running through rockpools but during the last warm spell, Edie decided to run through the shallows for a few minutes then decided to get back on to higher ground.
