Car Crate

Found a nice dog coat? Found a cozy pub that's Schnauzer friendly or even a Schnauzer friendly B&B. Feel free to share it here. Basically anything that we would want to buy for our Schnauzer goes here.

Car Crate

Post by zjg3 »

Just wondering what size people use for two minis. I have a large boot and want to use a crate in one half that they can both be comfortable in, but doesn't waste too much space.
Kate - what size did you get from Safedog and do the dogs like it?

Following post...I too need to start thinking of car travel for 2. Lolah at the mo is in I think a 24" crate which is more than adequate for her and takes up half the boot leaving the rest for shopping and bags etc. I have 4x4 so a large boot but it is full on a daily basis so reluctant to get a huge crate when boot is used sooo much!!!
All because of Lolah!

Do they need a crate each or do you think they would be happy to share if space adequate?

I have the Safedog single extra large hatchback. In my Clio it was at the minimum setting and two schnauzers fitted perfectly. I have changed cars and it is now fully extended……it has room for at least two more!!!!

Shame not to fill it then!

Both my two go in a small crate together at the moment for short journeys, but not a long term solution.

I used a separate crate twice and then decided to try them together and they were fine.

.............except for one time when I was on dual carriageway with nowhere to stop and it sounded like they were killing each other!

When I did stop and look there wasn't any blood and they just looked at me as if to say what! I think it was a fight over space ;)
