My Mami's schnauzer, Jessie is 10 in September....her breath STINKS so bad! Like if she's cwtched up and so much as looks at me I have to hold my breath and push her away :'(
I'm pretty sure it is around the time she was switched to low fat Burns food that it came about (i.see her every week and a half so can't promise that)
She went to the vets today and got given Metacam for her paw (unrelated!) and I asked my Mami to enquire over the breath and the vet said Jessie's teeth are in fantastic condition, no gum disease or anything and that its "normal" to have bad breath at that age.
What do you think? It's the food? Or do we need to get some toothpaste. I've been thinking of trying this http://www.petzlife.co.uk/ for Ralphy it was recommended to me by my schnauzer pal Janet. The breath smells like she hasn't eaten if this helps. (question)
Any thoughts?

Re: Bad breath!
Thank you Both. Even though she doesn't live with me, I can almost smell her breath now.. *shudders*

Re: Bad breath!
Monty's Dad's breeder was telling me about this product a couple of weeks ago and she had very good results with it - apparently it is quite an effort at the beginning as you need to use it a couple of times a day (she was doing several dogs) then once or twice a week, its not cheap but does sound a good product, I am tempted as Max's teeth aren't great neither is his breath at times! Re: Bad breath!
Cheers Yvonne, I think I'll order it in for Ralphy and suggest it to my mami.
