Schnauzerfest 2019

Hello!
I haven't been here for such a long time - life changes, challenges come along, blah blah blah...but after speaking with Dean, he's happy for me to post today about a UK-wide, actually reaching right across the British Isles including Guernsey event happening this weekend - Schnauzerfest.
If you're not familiar with it, the forum played a big role in getting it off the ground in 2014 when it ran for the first time. Walks are held, hosted by volunteers who will this weekend be out (whatever the weather) with their schnauzers and friends, raising money for rescue dogs.
In the first year, we raised £7702 - an incredible amount of money to raise from simple dog walks on a first go at doing something like it nationwide. Since then, we have raised over £160,000 together, every single penny of which has gone to help dogs in rescue who have been saved from puppy farms or other bad backgrounds. The money has restored the eyesight of many blind puppy farm dogs, given others life saving treatment, treated neurological conditions and much more.
None if it happens without the kindness and generosity of a great many people. More can be read on our website: www.schnauzerfest.org
if you'd like to join a walk this weekend, it's really simple, just find one on our map, turn up and have some fun. Make a donation if you'd like to (there's no set fee to take part). Some walks are large affairs, Barry Island in Wales is one of the biggest with a few hundred people and dogs taking part each year now, others are smaller, quieter ones like Guernsey or Orkney) and all are brilliant.
I look forward to being part of the forum once again, a lot has happened in my world since I last posted, including the loss of my beloved Susie-Belle and this summer, Twinkle who some of you may remember me writing about when they first came into my life.
