Buster's persistent vomiting

Looking after the health and welfare of your Schnauzer can be a full time job. You will find information on neutering, spaying, vaccinations, vet visits, upset tummies, Schnauzer bumps and much more here. Ask a question and someone will have had a similar experience. We also appreciate updates on how your Schnauzer is recuperating. A separate section is dedicated to our older Schnauzers.

Oh Liz, I'm typing this with tears running down my face. Been thinking about you all day.

I have huge respect for you and as I said before you've been an inspiration throughout. Buster was a very special little boy taken too soon but now at peace.

Run free little man

Take care xx

When you feel up to it you might want to give Buster a thread in the Rainbow Bridge section.
The little guys certainly leave a big hole when they go.

Run free little Buster :ymhug:

I have checked back each day to see how Buster was doing and today shed a tear at 2.30 thinking about what you must be going through.

Sounds like Buster was loved so much and had fantastic care right to the end Im sure he's playing with all the other dogs at Rainbow Bridge and in no more pain xxx

Reading this with tears in my eyes. The way you have dealt with this has been amazing, I don't know if I could be that strong.
You gave Buster so much care and love in his last days, and I have no doubt that he knew that and loved you so much in return.

I am so, so sorry that your little lad has gone. I know all too well how empty and silent house
your home will feel. When Cassie was PTS on the 1st June last year, I thought I would never
stop crying, I missed her so much. We decided never to have another dog, losing them is
just too painful but after a few weeks the silence was too much too bear and on August 17th
Finnegan came into our lives.
I and so many others will be thinking of you over the next few days and, in a way, grieving
with you.
Buster is, as you said, at peace now and free from pain. You did everything just right.

:ymhug: :ymhug: to you and Derek.
Our darling Cassie-too born 11.1.2006 left us 1.6. 2012.
Miss you every day little girl xx

Have to share this amazing message from a very close friend of mine (a vicar) who is not a dog lover, but has visited us and Buster every year and he wormed his way into her heart by sitting on her lap on our swingseat....

I hope I die surrounded by such love and so peacefully. Buster has given you so much over the years. Fun, frustration, fulfilment, friends, fear overcome. He has left wonderful dog shaped footprints all over you both and your home which are indelible. May he now rest in peace in animal heaven and may you both be at peace, treasuring his memory and giving thanks for the impact he has had on you both. You are both so much more through having loved him.

What amazing, comforting words - just had to share so others may take comfort too.....

I have been reading this thread and been desolate for you and Buster, yet proud of the way human and dog spirits intertwine; which can be witnessed in the dignified and loving way that you have been caring for Buster during his illness, and in the obvious joy and comfort you have given each other over the years.
Such lovely words from your friend, too- especially:

Rest in peace, little Buster. :ymhug:

Your friends words are beautiful. It's such a painful reality that when we allow these wonderful dogs into our lives, we know we have to go through the pain of them leaving us. But, along the way they bring us so many moments of joy, I hope you can remember all Busters good times, which Im sure were many, a few shared with us at Norbury. :ymhug:
