Car ramp

Looking after the health and welfare of your Schnauzer can be a full time job. You will find information on neutering, spaying, vaccinations, vet visits, upset tummies, Schnauzer bumps and much more here. Ask a question and someone will have had a similar experience. We also appreciate updates on how your Schnauzer is recuperating. A separate section is dedicated to our older Schnauzers.

Car ramp

Post by mikegoodson1 »

Hi,

This is more a healthcare and welfare question for me!

I have just had an operation and cannot drive or lift anything heavy for a while so I was thinking of buying a dog ramp, to enable my two to walk up to the car boot rather than me lifting them in/out. I have looked on Amazon and there are so many there, with so many different opinions on how good or bad they are, I thought I may check in here to look for advice :)

We have a 5 door hatchback type car and they always go in the boot. *I have a large dog bed and blankets in there to keep them warm and cosy.

So if you use a ramp, could you maybe let me know which one you use and a link or two please?

Thank you
Mike

I've no experience with the ramps either Mike. Hope you recover quickly - think of the next Austrian trip :)

Thanks Julie and Sam - well I have taken the plunge and ordered a ramp from Amazon, so I'm sure it will come in use even when I have fully recovered :D

Hope you get well soon. I bought a ramp from the factory shop about 2 year ago. it was £10.00 I think and made plastic. it folded up to a 12inch cube approx. My dogs would not use it as it bellied a bit in the middle as they walked up. I hope you have better luck with yours.
