Dogs sick/dying in Norway article - Maybe mushrooms??

Looking after the health and welfare of your Schnauzer can be a full time job. You will find information on neutering, spaying, vaccinations, vet visits, upset tummies, Schnauzer bumps and much more here. Ask a question and someone will have had a similar experience. We also appreciate updates on how your Schnauzer is recuperating. A separate section is dedicated to our older Schnauzers.

Dogs sick/dying in Norway article - Maybe mushrooms??

Post by Oscar 12345 »

Thought I would post this article the subject of which has been in many papers over the last 2 days. It is being investigated but rumour is that mushrooms/bacteria may be to blame caused by wet Summer. I have a strong belief that Otto's HGE last year (October) was caused by eating mushrooms off the lawn. Darn things grow so quickly and there are a lot around at the moment.

It is always frightening when the cause of an illness is not known as you don't really know how to protect your dog. I hope they can find out what it is very soon as it must be so stressful for dog owners in Norway just now.
