He loves the new food thank you. Woofed it all down. I've looked at the ingredients and I'm not surprised.... Lots of different fish including trout and salmon

Thankyou for your advice and help. Don't think Stanley will ever be a greedy dog. We had two golden retrievers for 16 years and the girl would none stop. Stanley is very picky.. even with treats.

Stanley has just had his second grooming session. He has just turned 10 months and is doing well. Dog training classes have been a must though and he still wants to play with every dog he sees!Image

I've got 2 standard girlies, Bo is very into her food, however Fizz is not. I feed them both Barking Heads, any variety, Fizz loves it, and they both have Natures Menu as well, the kibble they have after the wet food, just to crunch and to help clean their teeth.

Stanley is now on the Barking Heads also but won't eat any other brands. He's now about 22kg and 22 inches so i think he eats the right amount for his size. He has really started to fill out in the last few weeks and is getting broad across his back. His recall is excellent now and my wife called him back when we left or gate open and a dog was walked past first time earlier in the week. He is still a puppy though and will play all day long if you have the energy. we are all going to Cornwall near Padstow in three weeks..... any suggestions on beaches and dog friendly pubs please? Hi
You will find most of the pubs (just ask) that you visit in the Padstow area will be dog friendly! As with most places from May to September lots of the beaches do not allow dogs, however there will always be at least one that will still allow them or the locals would be up in arms!! I live in Cornwall and tend not to visit certain areas during the holiday period as it can be more restrictive, however, as you will see Padstow in particular is full of our 4 legged friends

If you nip into the local tourist information or your accommodation (especially campsites) will have all the information you will need for dog friendly pubs/beaches.

Hope you have a fantastic time in Cornwall. I have yet to meet another black standard in Cornwall so if I bump into one in the next three weeks it may be yourselves!!!!

Staying in Treligga not far from Palzeath. Weather amazing. Lots of beaches Stanley can go onto. Going to Daymer beach today near Padstow and then Tintagel Castle which is also dog friendly. Lots of schnauzers down here and many people with a mini and a giant combination.ImageImage

Haven't been down that way for many years - don't know if you can take dogs on Porthcothan beach but worth checking out - also if you are facing the beach and you walk a little way on the cliffs to the left at low tide there is a tiny island and if you wade through the water - knee deep at low tide - there is a natural swimming pool on it - many happy memories as not many people realise it is there. Have a wonderful time - you've certainly got the weather for it :)
