Gosh he is a big boy, I've a black standard. Ozzie. He is 18" and weighs 16kg but then I've always thought he was on the smaller side of standards

He doesnt look big to be fair and is very friendly. Just wants to play and meet people at the moment when we go walking. I had two Golden Retrievers for 16 years before Stanley so I forgot howuch energy young dogs have! Hes going jogging with me at the moment and a perfect running buddy. Going to book him in for first grooming appointment next week - ill post the result!

£55 sounds quite reasonable to me :-bd If you are happy to maintain the coat in between grooms you can probably get away with two or three visits a year, otherwise it is every 8 weeks or so!

Just a word of caution, I know he is happy to be your running mate but he is still a baby at 6 months and should only be doing 30 minutes of exercise a day (5 minutes per month of age) and not all of that should be high impact. Any problems over exercising causes may not show until he is older.

Thank you. I must say if you'd seen me run you would be confident he's not overdoing it! Its a fair point though.

Last photo before the groomer transforms him next weekend. Hes definately getting ready for a tidy up. Hes now 26 weeks old and doing really well. Recall is getting better by the day and it seems to have clicked one day last week. He now runs back immediately when called. Up until this point he would completely ignore me! No idea what changed but I have been very consistent and we train everyday. I've used a clicker also since he was 9 weeks old. Still very boisterous though when meeting other dogs..... unless they growl.... then he completely ignores them! 21 inches now and 20kg. Think he looks a little skinny at the moment but he seems really happy.Image

First session at the groomers went well. They were brilliant with him and firm from the off. Not quite ready for handstrip but they still did really well with him. Cant believe the difference in thd way he looks....... no more , "is he a labradoodle?" comments! Image
