Does anyone have any contact with standard breeder specifically all black standards

I have contacted kennel club and I can't locate any anywhere !

Standard schnauzers in the UK are relatively rare ( certainly compared to mini schnauzers ) and black standards even more rare. Hopefully someone will be able to recommend a breeder for you by PM but do be aware that you may have to wait some time and/or travel a distance to find one.

Just to give you an idea of numbers - up to the end of September this year the U.K. Kennel Club registered over four thousand miniature schnauzer puppies and just 154 Standard schnauzer pups, the majority of which will be pepper and salt.

As there are so few good breeders of standard schnauzers, you could contact the Secretaries of the breed clubs to ask for names and contact those listed on the Kennel Club website and find out more information from them. A good breeder will be able to recommend people they know even if they are not planning a litter themselves.

And do make sure whatever size/ breed or colour of puppy you are looking for that you fully check out the breeder as there are some who are definitely not raising their dogs in the right way and that includes standard schnauzers sadly. If you are looking for a family pet in particular you want a breeder who fully understands the breed, is not selling a variety of different dogs, raises the puppies in the home and is willing to spend time talking to you about breed characteristics, their own litter, the temperaments of individual pups, what socialisation they have done with them and what advice and support they can give you in terms of grooming, health advice and on-going care.
