8 weeks old teeth issue

Post by Milou »

Hello,

I’m new to this forum and world of min schnauzer owners.

After a long period of thinking finally we found a breeder and a little white puppy which came home at 8 weeks old 4 days ago.
She is KC registered, microchipped, vaccined And health checked.
However the puppy doesn’t have a full set of teeth as yet and most of them are still coming out.
We can see she is finish it difficult to have dry food and all struggles you expect from a puppy or baby with the teeth still coming out.

Is this something normal to still not to have a full set of teeth at age of 8 weeks and half?
I hardly have found something similar in this forum and other similar websites.

Your help is very appreciated.
Cheers
Al

Welcome to the Forum :)

Not all puppies get their baby teeth at the same time as with the adult teeth it can vary between individuals. You would expect that she did have all her baby teeth coming through by nearly 9 weeks old though they may not yet all be fully out. Have you spoken to the breeder about this ?

There are a couple of links below with information on teeth in puppies but these are general guidelines and not necessarily applicable to all breeds or every individual puppy:

Have you been able to take her for a vet check yet as this will give you an opportunity to raise the issue with them if you are worried. They are probably the best ones to advise as they will check her mouth and give a professional assessment of her health.
