Hi Ciara,
I see that you posted a similar question in 2015. Did you get any private messages regarding your query then or did you give up on your search until now?

With the COVID-19 situation still not over, there are many reputable breeders who are holding back from having litters until some kind of normality returns. Certain health tests, home checks, puppy visits and other essential requirements for reputable breeding have all been affected by the restrictions on movement and vet surgery appointments also so it is not a good time to be searching for a puppy.

Breeders who are members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme should be conforming to the best standards of welfare and breeding, are required to have relevant breed health tests carried out on parent dogs, offer a Contract of Sale and
lifetime-of-the-dog support and advice to new puppy owners etc. The Kennel Club website is currently being overhauled but you may be able to search for Assured Breeders there in the breeds you are interested in. The link to the ABS members in the U.K. as a whole are listed and if there are any near enough to you, they may be able to help or offer recommendations of other breeders who are reputable but not members of the ABS.

Do check out any breeder thoroughly yourself however, whether or not they are ABS members to be sure that you are happy with their breeding protocol. This is one of the reasons why it may be better to wait until restrictions and lockdowns are over in order to better be able to meet and visit breeders yourself.

Here is the link for the ABS miniature schnauzer breeders in the U.K.

If you are looking for a Giant Schnauzer or a Standard you would need to make separate searches. There are far fewer breeders of these sizes of schnauzer compared to minis in the whole of the U.K. and you may find even with mini schnauzers that you would need to search further than Northern Ireland for a first class breeder.
