Types of discipline/physical training methods

The Miniature Schnauzer is a smallest dog in the Schnauzer breed and originated in the mid-to-late 19th Century from Germany. The Miniature Schnauzer is a cross between the Standard Schnauzer and other smaller breeds such as the Poodle. A miniature Schnauzer is a spunky, but aloof dog who does things their own way. They tend to be good guard dogs without the tendency to bite.

I'm 5'4"; my Minis are a medium size dog for me! I must admit that though I love the ability to pop one of mine under my arm, I do think the Giants have a very majestic quality that would feel very safe and proud walking down the street with.

Our Ellie, who is half sister to Danni's Isla and Teddy has avery high pitched yap and when we are out it is very embarassing. In the house or garden she has a very deep bark. I doubt whether the yap will change but it is because she is excited and wants to greet anything she sees.

The whites are quite different from the pepper and salts and more loving. I just wish I could take the yapping out of her!

The last person I caught hitting his dog in public got the shock and awe from me in the form of an earful. I think your Finnish spirit is rubbing off!

I'm sure that'll be a huge comfort if you ever give me the same treatment, LOL!

I do not hit my dogs or give them a boot up the backside! We just keep away from dogs that we don't know. Voice box removal might be a remedy but Ellie is going in to be spayed in three weeks time but we have an animal hospital in Ashford that does key hole surgery so Ellie will be having that procedure. But it won't change her yap!

Compared with Poppy our P/S, the whites are far more demanding but both of ours get on so well together, they are inseparable most of the time.

Voice box removal is disgusting.

There's nothing wrong with physically correcting your dog - so long as you don't go overboard and beat it!

Daisy has never been a yappy dog, and one reason is I've trained her not to - there's no reason for surgery like that i you can train you dog well.

Swift boot up the bum works wonders :D
