Recommendations for walk in Cobham Surrey area?
Bit of an eleventh hour request here: I have to take my daughter to a Wedding in Cobham around 1pm today (4/3). OH is away so I will be taking her on my own and wondering whether there might be anywhere nice to walk with Bonnie in the area while I'm over that way ?

Bockets Farm isn't too far away, we have done Schnauzer Walks here
http://www.bockettsfarm.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you park in the top car park, just as you come off the roundabout there is a path leading from the right as you came in.

Thanks for the suggestion - just looked at the website - looks good but looks like you have to pay to get in ?Maty wrote:Bockets Farm isn't too far away, we have done Schnauzer Walks here

Bee Bee doesn't appear to have logged in to the forum yet unfortunately. Setting off soon so but will take my phone so should still have access to the forum once I get there.

It's free to walk in the woods and you only pay if you want to go into the petting zoo. Look through the walk section and you'll see some of the organised walks and photo's that have been taken at Norbury Park.Bon-bon wrote:looks good but looks like you have to pay to get in

Rupert, black mini, 24/12/10 - 01/03/24
Watson, black mini born 21/02/12
I offer my advice freely, but I am not an expert, breeder, groomer or behaviourist. It is simply my experience of raising pups in a way that seems to make sense.

Re: Recommendations for walk in Cobham Surrey area?
Thanks Kate and Dean,
Great suggestion , all the more so because on the way there from the drop-off I took a trip down memory lane to drive past the house where I spent the first 5 years of my life in Fetcham .
And I'm delighted to say Bonnie travelled ok ie wasn't sick although I can't say she was a great travel companion - my daughter and friend weren't impressed at her constant attempts to clamber over them despite being restrained by a proper seat belt harness (we need an estate car !).
Once there, although I kept Bonnie on the flexi-lead all the time, she had a wonderful time investigating and sniffing all the new sights and smells and I enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the area (although it did get noisy as we got near farm park).
I would definitely go there again - although its a bit further than we would normally go it took less than 1/2 hr to get back. There's a active sawmill within the park and I see they have an open day in a couple of weeks so may see if I can tempt OH and possibly our son (they're both carpenters so should be right up their street).

Glad you enjoyed it And even better that Bonnie travelled OK
My sister's Westie had a car harness that attached to a seatbelt and I always thought it gave too much freedom One reason my two are in a crate in the boot of my hatchback ;)
