Goodbye Dieta, you were loved

Dieta had had problems with intermittent diarrhoea all year. This was diagnosed as IBS in September. At first she did well on the hypoallergenic diet. Then it got harder and harder to get her to eat. She'd not eaten for 3-4 days and could barely stand up, so I got her to the vet this morning.They took blood and her liver had failed and her kidneys weren't far behind.

So we came to that awful time. She passed over the bridge at 1:30pm today.

So sorry to hear that you have lost Dieta. We always loved reading the stories about her and Swampy.

oh Donald,what awful news..your lovely girl was one of my favorites here.I too love your stories and hope you are all coping with her sad passing.She was a lovely,beautiful dog and I'm sorry for your loss.

Very sorry to hear that Donald. I met Dieta a few times and she was a lovely dog.
If I'm following a car with a big dog in the back I always think about your little hatchback with Dieta, Swampy and Max in the back. Funniest sight ever.

Here you go.

That was quite a day as Swampy was determined to dominate Max. Who wasn't having it. Luath got between them and growled every time one of them even looked at the other. While Dieta slept.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Dieta experienced being owned by a caring loving owner, thinking of you at this sad sad time.
It is unbearable to have to take that decision, but we love our dogs too much to see them suffer, run free Dieta.
