James and Katherine, heartbreaking for you, I am so sorry for your loss. She isn't in pain any more and sometimes the decision is just taken out of your hands really. Sending you lots of hugs and best wishes.

James and Katherine,
I'm really sorrow to read about Pepper. Losing a loved pet so young is a terrible thing to deal with. RIP Pepper.

The hardest part of taking care of a dog is saying goodbye. Our thoughts are with you.

I offer my advice freely, but I am not an expert, breeder, groomer or behaviourist. It is simply my experience of raising pups in a way that seems to make sense.

Re: Liver shunt, pancreatitis and crystals in kidneys
For those of you that also have a dog prone to pancreatitis, Nutriment have introduced a new range of raw "support" food. Some of the products are low in fat, which will help with pancreatitis and some will be good for dogs recovering from surgery and other ailments. Unfortunately, it was too late for Pepper, but hopefully someone else reading this topic, will find the information useful.
