Re: Any one know any good breeders in Northern Ireland?
Hi, new to the forum but also looking reputable breeders in NI is someone would be so kind to PM me details.
We had a beautiful schnoodle for the past 7 years who had to be put to sleep this week and we are all devastated as it all happened so quickly. We were hoping to get another pup next year (before we found out Roxy was so ill) so we are now keen to move ahead with getting a new pup quicker.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi just seeing if any1 could point me in the right direction. I am looking to get my 3 kids a schnauzer as my dad and uncle both have 1 and the kids loved them to bits. They r wonderful dogs and loveable. My kids have never had a dog as a pet but most off my family have. My kids adore all dogs and at this point in their lifes it would be a wonderful thing for them to have a schnauzer. Please if any1 could help. If we where to get 1 it would probably be the most cared and loved dog ever. Thanks for reading

Re: Any one know any good breeders in Northern Ireland?
Hi everyone,
I've just found this forum and so happy to find this post! We are looking for a Schnauzer puppy. We moved from London to Belfast on March and as a part of the move we decided time was finally right to get a dog to complete our family as we now have the space and time to give one a wonderful life. Sadly coronavirus had other ideas. Now things are opening up a bit the time is right!
Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Oh hi! I’m in the same boat too. We always had dogs growing up, but since being an adult I’ve not lived anywhere suitable enough (flats, small garden etc). But three years ago we moved to a nice house with with a very large garden.zeta1454 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2020, 17:56I have sent you an emailSimon8497 wrote: ↑12 Jun 2020, 23:10 Hi just seeing if any1 could point me in the right direction. I’ve spent most of lockdown repairing all the fencing to make it secure so now is the time to starting looking towards getting a pup.
I’ve always enjoyed the breed, their inquisitive little faces!
My daughter is nearly 6 now so that was another consideration, when we first moved here I thought she’d be too young to interact safely with a dog.
If someone could direct me to a reputable breeder that would be great. Gumtree and other places look far too dodgy for me.
Thanks.

Re: Any one know any good breeders in Northern Ireland?
Hi All
I am new to this forum. I lost my miniature schnauzer (Max) last year to old age. Our family were grieving for a long time over our beloved family member but we are now feeling this is the right time to get a new addition to our family. Can anyone recommend a breeder in Northern Ireland. I am finding it impossible to find a reputable breeder and not happy to purchase a pup through gumtree.
Many thanks in advance
Donna

I have sent you a private message with more information.
It is a difficult time for anyone looking for a good breeder in the UK and Ireland since the lockdown has meant that many of the best breeders have delayed having pups due to the difficulties of home checks and socialisation of puppies etc. This will probably mean a wait of months at least until the reputable breeders feel it is safe and appropriate to resume having litters. Do be prepared for a wait as looking online for a puppy is most likely to lead to puppy farmed / backyard bred pups for sure.
Good luck in your search.

Good evening all, sorry to sound repetitive but also looking some advice on where to get a miniature schnauzer in Northern Ireland! We recently lost our beloved schnauzer to cancer and have been so lost without her! I don’t want to go down the avenue of gumtree and similar sites so any guidance and advice would be greatly appreciated! Kind regards x

Hello Karen,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mini schnauzer.
Regarding looking for good breeders, you could check out the Kennel Club Assured Breeder list on their website. Even if these breeders cannot help directly they may be able to offer contact details for other breeders they know to be reputable. There are two listings for Northern Ireland in County Down and County Antrim.
https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/servic ... +Schnauzer
You will need to be sure you are happy yourself with any breeder who is recommended from any source but the Assured Breeder Scheme members are inspected by knowledgeable experienced assessors and there are high welfare requirements to belong to the ABS which should give you some reassurance. There is plenty of excellent advice and guidance on the Kennel Club website too about avoiding rogue and disreputable breeding establishments and the kind of things you need to be looking for in a good breeder too
As stated above it is still a difficult time for sourcing well bred puppies of any breed due to the best breeders delaying having pups because of restrictions due to Covid-19 so do be patient if you need to go on a waiting list or delay getting your new puppy.
Good luck in your search and do avoid the online selling sites for sure.
