RIP Cody 17.02.23

Saying goodbye to our Schnauzers is the hardest part. Share your memories here as we bid farewell to our beloved friends. They've crossed the bridge and returned to the meadow in full health and free of injuries. Running free. We won't forget.

RIP Cody 17.02.23

Post by Champ629 »

We lost our lovely big lad Cody on 17.02.23 after a very short and sudden illness. He was just short of 14 years old. He came to us aged 3.5 as a rescue from Ireland, his early years hadn't been very happy and he came with a fair bit of baggage, but we worked with him and managed different situations. He repaid us with trust and love and we had the pleasure of watching him grow up and enjoy a fantastic full life. Each loss seems to get harder and his is our greatest loss, it really hurts, but I'm consoled that he's now pain free and reunited with his brother and sisters. Sweet dreams Cody xxxx

You will have so many memories with Cody to treasure and it was wonderful that he was able to enjoy those years of love and care in your family. The pain of loss is something that never does seem to lessen however many times you go through it - testimony to the depth of love between you. Our dogs have such a special place in our hearts and I know I have never felt ready to let a dog go even when their time has come. However many years it may have been it never seems long enough. RIP Cody 🌈🐾🐾❤️

Thinking of you and sending hugs xx

I am sorry to hear of lost of Cody and sounds he had a good life with you and your family. I certainly understand about it gets harder when departing to Rainbow Bridge, it never gets easier, I don't think it is meant to be very sadly. But you know why because of the love, affection, care and fun you had with each other - that what it makes it so hard. Just take one day at a time, some days will be easy, some not. Take care please.
Nina But never forget Hugo.

I'm so so sorry to read that you have lost your lovely boy Cody, do hope he finds my precious Suzi at Rainbow Bridge. it is heartbreaking as they are super dogs who leave a huge gap when they leave us. I still have tears for my first as lost my girl in 2017. Have to say I ended up with another as just couldn't live without another Schnauzer in my life. I never thought that I would have another & admit I did feel guilty, but it was the best thing I did. Thinking about you at this sad time as know exactly how you are feeling as they certainly leave you devasted hopefully you will be able to have another someday will never replace but sure eases the pain.
