Re: Faces behind the Dogs! *Add your own face!*
Hi, my name is Boyd, posting under Bodee.
I am new to these forums although I have owned a standard schnauzer, Max, for almost 15 years.
Sadly Max had to be put to sleep about 2 months ago and although I realised for a while, that time was approaching it was at the end a devastating loss which I found hard to cope with.
It seemed that no matter what I did, or how trivial, in the house, the garden or visiting friends, they all had associations with my wonderful companion. He was clearly of the opinion that nothing would get done without his involvement and nothing made me happier.
However, I realised I could never be without the company of a Schnauzer in my life and so I decided to look for a new miniature companion. I am now preparing to bring home Milla a black miniature schnauzer in early September.
Max and me. He loved play fighting on the couch.
Max in the garden. He was a big powerful dog and on the limit for a standard schnauzer. He lived for fun and companionship.
Milla my new best buddy. She's a wee cracker

A stranger stopped a couple of months ago when were out walking.
He asked what breed he was.
Before I could answer his wife said whatever he is I should enter a pet owner look alike contest as we were bound to win.
I am still not sure how to take that.

I love this pic of our first days together, so this is me, the face behind Harriet. Don't get confused, I'm the one with no beard and red hair!
