weight at 6 months 7.2 kg!!

The Miniature Schnauzer is a smallest dog in the Schnauzer breed and originated in the mid-to-late 19th Century from Germany. The Miniature Schnauzer is a cross between the Standard Schnauzer and other smaller breeds such as the Poodle. A miniature Schnauzer is a spunky, but aloof dog who does things their own way. They tend to be good guard dogs without the tendency to bite.

Are you sure he's not a standard in disguise? ;)

He had his booster jabs last week and he was measured 17" at the shoulder.
He weighed in at 12.10kg.

Here's a picture taken of him on Monday. He's a solid dog now and the vet certainly had no issues with his weight. You certainly know he's there when he stands on your chest!!

Aww he's gorgeous. His build reminds me of one of my sons- not fat, but solid and heavy lol.

A friend of mine has a mini who is head and shoulders over Laddie and clearly inches bigger than he's "supposed to" be.

I can't believe Gryff is that tall and weighs that much. When I saw him he didn't look that tall, it must be his colouring that disguises it :)

I'd love to meet Gryff as he sounds much more like Flynn in terms of height etc. Flynn is 15kg and not fat! I think he really is a standard in disguise.

Technically a larger Mini isn't a Standard, but it's shocking how many people think that. I know of a Mini who's taller than some and his owners have been told by people he must be a Standard just because he's bigger!

If you want tubby you should see Maisy, she is definately porky at the moment! Freddy is 14 1/2 inches and about 8kg.

Obi and Louis weigh the same....around the 8kg mark....even if Louis is nearly two inches shorter :-" He needs to tone up now that he's 6 months and maybe drop a Kg.

Each dog is different, muscle tone and bone density will effect how much they weigh.

Just dug this thread out as I was wondering if Rodders is too Skinny, he is just under 13 inches high, 14 long and weighs 6.4kg.

Think I may need to go and look for Claire's thread about putting some weight on Jack! Trouble is he just isn't food orientated 8-|

Kate I think Rodders is the perfect weight for his height, Jack weighs 8 kg and is much bigger than Rodders but the butchers tripe with the kibble definately gets Jack back on track if he decides he is not interested in his food :)

Kate I was just looking over the Hayling Island Walk pictures and even commented on one of the posts and called him a 'Lovely little chunky monkey'. He is just right :)
