Our beautiful little Primrose crossed the bridge yesterday. The pain we felt this morning when we woke and she was not sitting in her usual place at the side of the bed encouraging us to get up was indescribable. I never truly understood what grief stricken meant until I sat there watching the clock instead of being on our walk.
Some of you may find this awful for me to say but when my wife died I had the kids to look after, arrangements to make, & problems to solve but this just feels like a big black empty hole and the endless ticking of the clocks. I also found out just how heartless & selfish this society of ours is, when I phoned work to say why I wouldnt be in ... "have you got any leave to take for this?" that person will never know just how lucky they were to be 30 miles away.
We would like to thank you in advance for your condolences and for all your past help,support & advice. I hope you will understand my need to take a break away from the forum for a while. Take care & best wishes to you all, goodbye for now

I know I never had the privilege of meeting Prim but I do feel that I knew her a little after following your stories and her grand tour. I have tears in my ears after reading your post.
