Looking at the map we need more in East Anglia, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, South Wales, Devon?Cornwall to name a few.

Come in folks, get setting up your local walks, it really doesn't take much organising - Pick a date (18/19 Oct), venue (preferably with parking and cafe or pub near) and a time. People will come ;)

Now is the time to show off your favourite local walk :D
Hello everyone,

I live in North East Lincolnshire and would be interested in suggesting/attending places for another schnauzerfest, to continue socialising Ems (lol we took her to classes but she is quite a nervous thing even at 3 1/2). I'm really surprised there has not been a Lincs date set, as we seem to meet or see at least one schnauzer on walks around Cleethorpes and Grimsby. What about the beach/nature area near the Fitties in Cleethorpes? Or People's Park if the cafe is open.

Would be brilliant if you could suggest a place and time and act as host - which basically means you just agree to turn up, collect any fundraising if people haven't donated online beforehand, and enjoy the walk :D Am sure that if you know somewhere good that you're happy to walk at with others, and we get it sorted here as an event and pop on the Facebook page and twitter, nearer the time, you'll have others turn up and be happy to enjoy the walk and company.
So, have I convinced you to be host and decide a place :D

Can you tell me more about schnauzerfest itself? How much is the donation etc as I cannot find the original thread listing this.

Many thanks

Hi, I have been a member of the forum for some months now but only have posted a few times. I was wondering if any walks have ever been held in northern ireland.

The original idea started here in May and it's since gained ground and is shaping up to look like its going to be a great weekend of walks round the country. Here's the original early discussions
viewtopic.php?f=48&t=18744&hilit=schnauzerfest

...I'll get a post up soon confirming the fundraising details, there's been discussions here on what will be preferred and work best, we're trying to please as many people as we can, but as with anything, there's a few background details that need thinking through and finalising before the details are put up :)
It's great if you're interested in getting together a walk venue and taking part :D
