Universal event map

Hi all. Due to the spread of the different social networking sites which are involved in the Schnauzerfest 2014, I created a map to help keep track of the various organised walks. This way, it doesn't matter which site a potential attendee has come from, there'll be a central link which people can go to/save to keep track of confirmed events/walks.

Am not trying to step on toes here, but it's had good feedback this far.

If there are any events missing, please feel free to let me know. I will shortly update each of the event markers on the map to include a link to the Schnauzerfest section here, as well as to the Facebook page.

Any comments welcome.

Please can you retry the link above and let me know how you get on?

Also, here's an alternative (less-friendly worded), version too:

Both links working :-bd

By the way, how do those little links work and get you to the same place :-\

Thanks for checking!

They're like little redirection links. So, the site (bit.ly, for example) keeps a note of the 'long' link, and gives you a short link to its own site. When you click their link, it goes to their site, and they then redirect you to the full site. Simples!

The map will be updated by Damon, but for a current list of the confirmed walks - 11 of them which is great - see here
https://www.facebook.com/Schnauzerfest2014/events

More in the pipeline....but please think about hosting one in your local area, the more we have over the weekend, the more schnauzers will turn out and the more money we'll raise :D It doesn't matter if there's already one vaguely nearby, some people are loathe to travel very far, or can't travel far, so more walks, more choice, more fun :)

What a great little map. Will make it easier for people to either find a walk/event in their area or possibly even notice a 'gap' and they can try and organise one in their area.
It's saved to my favourites so I can keep tabs on new events as they pop up :)

Cheers for the feedback, guys.
I've just updated the map with the latest couple of events - apologies for delay.

Please can someone cast their eyes on it to make sure all is ok?

Thanks,
Damon

Looks great to me :-bd Thank you for doing this and helping the technologically challenged :D

Now if we could get some vents in Devon/Cornwall, East Anglia, South Wales, Northumbria, Cumbria, Scotland, Ireland too I would be very happy ;)
