Aw thanks all.... I thought I would take a shot or two after his bath following his muddy run around this morning. However, the 3 hours in the garden, trying to find where the bonemeal has been put down seems to have changed his appearance somewhat

He is such a great example of "idle hands..." . Leave him to it and he will find his own entertainment.
Sam, trying very hard not to be a re-incarnated raw zealot with everyone I meet who struggles with tummy issues. It was such a good move and you gave me the nudge to try it. I have not picked up a dodgy
poop for 3 months, his coat is lovely, no scratching or licking, teeth are gleaming, he looks well on it and on top of all that it really has been simple to give. I also feel that if he does eat anything untoward then his digestion should be able to tolerate it. I still can't believe how bone is so easily digested. Total convert, sorry everyone! On the devotion side, I wonder if it is true that all schnauzers can only adore 1 human at a time. Oscar my first was a gift to my husband on his retirement (well that's what I told him

). Because he was home all day with him he adored my husband and thought I was a lodger I think. This time around Otto is all mine and I'm afraid that OH doesn't even get a waggy tail greeting when he comes in. Thank goodness neither of us have ever taken it personally.

Man cannot survive with wine alone...
we also need a schnauzer.
