Hello! We have an almost 6 month old puppy that has been picking at his food recently. We had a wet food that he absolutely loved for a couple months and started to just pick at it and then was uninterested all together.
We tried out a few other wet food brands and same thing. We went back to his kibble he had when we first brought him home and added bone broth and some treats, but he only ate a few pieces of kibble and ate all of the treats. We’ve tried a chicken topper this morning and he also ate the chicken and left the kibble.
He is teething and has been losing teeth so I imagine he’s just uncomfortable. Is there anything we can do or try to help him feel more comfortable eating while teething? Anything that has worked for you guys? Thanks!

Re: mini puppy rarely eats food
Hi and welcome.
You could try freezing a wet sock for him to chew on, the cold helps to numb the gums. Changing how you feed can help. Instead of putting food in a bowl try spreading food in a lick mat so he can lick it off or using a kong. Play games with kibble by rolling it for him to chase or hiding small piles around the house that he has to find. He should be nearly finished teething at 6 months so shouldn't last much longer.
