where would you most like to visit?

Post by dannie_kl »

I enjoy nothing more than exploring with my dogs! i am so fortunate to have a country park near me where I often go on a sunday with the dogs and we loose ourselves for a couple of hours.
I also really enjoyed the oxford walk, somewhere new to explore, beutiful scenery to admire and so much stimulation for the dogs!
I drove to portsmouth last sunday to visit someone and i passed by Devils Punchbowl which i have only been past once before. trouble is it looks so beautiful but you can't look much when you are driving! I would dearly love to visit there and go exploring with the dogs

its truly beautiful to look at (at a quick glance!)
is there anaywhere you would really love to visit or go exploring in?

I would love to go to the lake district. It looks so peaceful and beautiful there. Could lose yourself no phones no Internet just peace and quiet (bigthumbs)

The lake district is wonderful. Every lake so different. I can't believe you haven't been. Well worth a visit. Keswick is my favorite and there are quite a few dog friendly places there too.

I'd also love to go to the Lakes, I really regret not having gone there when I lived in North Wales!

It is a lovely place, but it does get busy at times.
Where we live we are surrounded by hills and there are loads of places to go walking. We get loads of walkers coming past us and they all comment how lovely it is. Only trouble is we do not appreciate it like we should.
Don't worry about it being cold, just put a vest on!

Right you bunch of southern nancies, lets get one thing straight - it is not cold up north (or north of watford for you lot) all the time.

We have had a lovley spring this year and have not had to wear vests for some weeks now.

You should go to the west coast of scotland, and the highlands for real scenic beauty, it is truly amazing. You may need to wear a vest.

Lake district is nice but a bit busy, central and southern snowdonia is amazing and not touristy and the coast from Whitby up to Anwick on the North East coast is under rated. Other than France which has a special place in my heart, there is not a need for me to travel abroad as there are too many wonderful places here which I still want to visit.

The main place I have not properly explored is the west coast of ireland (yes yes not technically UKm whatever) and cornwall and devon, so they are my next ones.
