We're very excited to meet Roxy (& you, of course, Sue!). Unless we encounter another Standard on one of the earlier walks, Roxy will be the first we will meet in the fur, so to speak
Looking forward to seeing you & everyone coming on Sunday x

Re: Schnauzerfest - Ashton Court, Bristol
A big thank you to Lesley, her OH (I'm so sorry I don't know your name!!) and, of course Alan, for organising such a great walk. I tried to count up several times, but failed miserably. I think there must have been between 30-40 Schnauzers today, mostly minis but also including puppies and Roxy the standard, who is very beautiful. All the dogs behaved, although it wasn't a quiet affair
The venue was fantastic, the weather perfect and everyone seemed to have a great time.
The liver cake was much appreciated by the boys and the cookies by us - just about gave us the energy to get home ;)
Thanks for a great afternoon

They are gorgeous photos - did they go on the facebook page do you know? I shared everything I could as they came in over the weekend but didn't always get to look at them all properly.Cat M wrote:We had a fabulous time today Thank you for organising the walk Lesley. Re: Schnauzerfest - Ashton Court, Bristol
Ahh, It was a fab afternoon and soooo lovely to finally meet some of you too!
Oh wow, what amazing photos! Great to meet you, Lola and Pixie too. Alan was definitely very taken with Pixie's 'squeaking' haha, yes he's a bit like a duracell bunny and that was turned up to the max yesterday with all his new schnauzie friends around him. Even after all that and a much needed bath when we got home he's still full of energy!
Really hope we get to meet you all again soon for lots more schnauzer fun
xx
Lovely to meet you too Alison, and your Husband (sorry, he did tell me his name but there was a lot of name information to take in yesterday!). Alfie and Duke are just gorgeous! Were they exhausted last night? Alan was but then fresh as a daisy this morning, jumping on the bed and probably hoping we were off to Ashton court again to see the gang! Glad you enjoyed Ben's cookies. I think he needs to experiment with a few different types myself, obviously a talent there that shouldn't be wasted ;)Morgana99 wrote:A big thank you to Lesley, her OH (I'm so sorry I don't know your name!!) and, of course Alan, for organising such a great walk. Count us in for the next one. Roxy is still happy today and we are still talking about it all. The schnauzers acted like family and all the humans were lovely people who we want to meet again.
Thank you for a spectacular day!

Re: Schnauzerfest - Ashton Court, Bristol
Us too, one of my favourite walk locations so far
I'm still buzzing from meeting all the lovely people and dogs at all the 3 locations we managed to fit in.
We were all tired by the time we got home. The boys were sparko and Duke was snoring like a drain all evening They were still a bit tired today .
On a personal level, I was thrilled that Diabetic Alfie did so amazingly well and showed no signs of the condition, apart from still being a bit svelte (well, who wouldn't alongside chunky monkey Duke? ) Bless him. Most of the time on all the walks Alfie was out there near the front, I was so happy to see this after a lot of worry in recent months. Hopefully we can keep him this way for a long time to come Also, Duke seemed less nervous around the other dogs this time and had such a happy, smiley look on his face.

And us!
Lovely to meet everyone at Aston Court (and at the Ogmore by Sea walk we also managed). Bob broke the habit of a lifetime and slept through his own dinner-time and (shock, horror even more unbelievable) MY dinner-time too!
Thanks Lesley, Ben (for the biscuits) and Alan for being great hosts
