The Schnauzer puppy stage goes by so quickly, so make sure you get lots of pictures and make sure that you share them with the rest of us. Bristle noses, floppy ears and wagging tails are all welcome.

Ha ha, very good, but you should see the size of the one my last dog used to dig! I didn't mind as she stuck to the one patch..

Her paws don't look very muddy compared to the hole, lol O:-)

This one was dug in the hot dry weather so she could lie on bare soil to cool off. It is a shady spot where she would lie for ages.

Lolah looks so like Basil does after a forage around the garden. He loves the muddy puddles :)

The holes are easily forked over in the spring and the grass soon grows.

I think this was 2nd trip, after first bath......3 baths in total today!

Not so bothered about the holes.....more about my house! Washed towel, door mat and bedding today!

I did get wise and shut her out and then she was inspected to come back in!

Our two do the same to get cool in summer, usually in one of my borders X(

I can't say the same for Lolah, though, her feet look remarkably clean compared to the wet mud in the dug up bit, are we sure she is guilty? :-s

I think the beard gives it away!

I just get the worst off with the sprinkle setting on the hose attachment then a quick blot with a towel. It has a flow adjustment so it is very gentle, and just about tolerated. It won't be so easy when it gets colder :( I must admit I did shampoo legs and beard after a muddy walk on Saturday, not that you can tell now. The clean look doesn't last long here.

Renae was a real digger when she was a pup but thankfully she seems to have grown out of it - mind you, we do now have artificial grass, so maybe that's why :D
